Ms. Elsa Figueroa
Mrs. Figueroa has been a School Counselor at St. Theresa Catholic School for 9 years. Prior to St. Theresa, she worked with the Benedictine Counseling Services (BCS) providing elementary and middle school counseling to the Diocese of Arlington Catholic Schools. The BCS assigned her consecutive positions at St. Louis and St. James Catholic Schools. After BCS, she moved on to STCS, and to this date, she has provided School Counseling services to the Diocese of Arlington Catholic Schools for 19 years. Mrs. Figueroa earned a Masters in Education degree in Counseling and a Bachelors in Arts dual degree in Psychology and Secondary Education from the University of Puerto Rico. She holds a K-12 School Counselor certification from the Virginia Department of Education, a Youth Mental Health First Aid professional certification and a Basic Catechist certification. Mrs.Figueroa has also obtained Specialist Certifications on Anxiety and Stress Management and on School Counseling Data from the American School Counselors Association’s Specialist Training Program. Mrs. Figueroa is the proud mother of two adult daughters and a parishioner of St. Timothy Catholic Church.
