Fifth Grade Relief

Hi Fifth Grade!
Great job last week.  This week's project is a fun way to use recycled materials around your house.
Parents - please do not worry about completing art projects.  I understand that there is a lot happening, for students, for parents.  Working remotely while educating is a vocation, surely.
I am setting due dates just to give the assignment a date, but please know these are arbitrary.

Students - I have created a Padlet, a digital "bulletin board" if you will, for student art work.  If you would like to share your art work with the Saint Theresa Community, please upload a photo of your project to Padlet using this link.

I miss everyone!  Hope all is well!

Funny Frames

Hi Everyone!
Here is a fun activity to complete with the whole family - Funny Frames

In each one of the frames - draw someone making a funny face!  You can draw your immediate family, your pets, or your relatives.
A fun trick is to play your favorite movie and pause the frame when someone is talking - instant funny face!

I have created a Padlet as a virtual "bulletin board" for all your wonderful art submissions!  If you would like, please upload your art to the Padlet at the following link:

Andy Warhol Prints

Good morning!
One of our lessons this week focuses on Andy Warhol and his screen prints.  Screen printing is a very cool but complicated process.  So, we are going to be using crayon to get the effect instead!
Enjoy : )

Salt Clay Creations

Salt clay is my favorite type of "clay" / dough because it is easy to make and it will last in the fridge for a long time.  You can add food coloring to make it like play dough OR paint it afterwards (I will be posting that lesson soon)
Can't wait to see what you create! Remember to post your wonderful artwork on Padlet! https://padlet.com/whitfielda4/ehevg3t1jbyl

AWESOME Cats!

Hi Everyone!
Here is a fun way of drawing a cat.  This comes from illustrator Nathan Pyle.  He lives in NYC and draws comic books for a living!
Post your cats on Padlet : ) https://padlet.com/whitfielda4/ehevg3t1jbyl

Assignment

Hi Everyone!
Here is your first art assignment for this week.  Although we have art on Tuesday, I do not expect everyone to finish this project in one day.
I hope you enjoy.  This is a fun one that all members of your family can do.
Have a good day!
