Math

Students will complete any uncompleted assignments from this week. 

Students will begin working on "Real World Geometry Glossary" on Seesaw.(Directions taken from Seesaw assignment.) This is due by Thursday, May 28th.

1) Please read through the Presentation attached. 
2) Gather your 5 objects (at minimum) you will be using. 
3) Click on attached student template. 
4) On the first page under "Created by:", delete the text beneath and type your name.
5) Go to pg. 2. 
6) Next to "Term #1:", type your first term you will be using. 
7) Clicking the camera option, either take a picture or upload a picture you have already taken and insert it on the page. 
8) After you have inserted the photo, draw on the photo with the pen or highlighter icon to locate what your term is referring to. Please choose a color that stands out on the photo. 
9) Once you have completed annotating the first picture, proceed to the next slide. 
10) Following steps 6-9, complete Terms #2-#5. 
11) If you would like to complete more than 5 terms, add a page at the end. 
12) Once you have uploaded all of the photos, please place the terms in alphabetical order by their first letter. 
13) Once you have finished your project, you may turn it in. If you do not complete it all at once, you can click the green check mark to submit it. To return to it later to continue working on it, click on the 3 dots in the lower right hand corner of the post and click "Edit Assignment."

2) Liquids are arranged in the first column.
3) Objects are arranged at the top of the remaining three columns.
4) Using the Highlighter icon, highlight whether you think the object will float or sink in the four liquids.
5) Write out two of your predictions and explain why you think the objects will float or sink.
5a) For the first prediction on the bottom of the first page, use the "T" icon to complete your prediction. Do the same for the second prediction at the top of the second position.
6) Once all predictions have been completed, click the green check mark to submit your predictions.
7) After you have completed your predictions, you may complete the experiment at home if you have the supplies to complete it. If you have most of the materials needed, you can still complete the experiment if you would like. If not, watch the video on Seesaw of Mrs. Shanley completing the experiment. 
8) After completing or watching the video of the Experiment results, complete the chart with the results of the experiment.

Students, you will complete your predictions from "What Floats? What Sinks? A Look into Density" Experiment on the attached template in Seesaw.
DUE: Friday, May 8th - I will be posting the Experiment Results tomorrow (May 6th) in a new assignment. Both pieces will be due Friday.
1) Read through the directions.
2) Liquids are arranged in the first column.
3) Objects are arranged at the top of the remaining three columns.
4) Using the Highlighter icon, highlight whether you think the object will float or sink in the four liquids.
5) Write out two of your predictions and explain why you think the objects will float or sink.
5a) For the first prediction on the bottom of the first page, use the "T" icon to complete your prediction. Do the same for the second prediction at the top of the second position.
6) Once all predictions have been completed, click the green check mark to submit your predictions.
7) After you have completed your predictions, you may complete the experiment at home if you have the supplies to complete it. If you have most of the materials needed, you can still complete the experiment if you would like. If not, Mrs. Shanley will record herself completing the experiment and it will be posted for your viewing.
